NO ANSWER TO ELDORADO

Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! This week has seen ELOBF take delivery of both the CD/DVD and GLP formats of the 40th Anniversary Edition of: "The Electric Light Orchestra" - the 1972 debut album by ELO just re-released by Harvest/EMI [#VSHVL797]. Indeed, 2012 is turning out to be a good year for ELO re-issues, particularly on 180g vinyl, being as we also saw the re-release of the classic 1974 album:"Eldorado" [#MOVLP469] back in late January:

RETURN TO VINYL - ELDORADO
RECOMMENDED: ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA [40th Anniversary Edition]

Sadly, I never bought the original gatefolded first ELO LP or the original Warner Bros. release of: "Eldorado" when I was buying up the ELO back catalogue back in the day, but I did get a hold of the Jet/CBS yellow [or was it gold?] vinyl edition [#JETLP203] and the later single sleeved Fame/EMI re-issue of: "The Electric Light Orchestra" [#FA3084] in 1984. But I have to admit that it has been really great to buy new 12" vinyl and packaging again - even though my turntable went south years ago. So, if you are still pining for the return of vinyl and reminiscing about that golden ELO period, then why not consider buying these two [2] newly released ELO classic albums in their original formats?

Until next "Time" in the ELO [and related] universe ... KJS ... 15-March-2012
